Beyond the Science (BTS) collaborated with the GoAdapt project to deliver a series of Pre-COP youth engagement activities aimed at strengthening youth contributions to global climate discussions.
As international climate negotiations approach, Pre-COP spaces play a critical role in shaping priorities, narratives, and alliances. The BTS–GoAdapt collaboration focused on ensuring that youth perspectives, particularly on adaptation and locally-led solutions, were clearly articulated ahead of global forums.
The Accra-based sessions convened youth leaders, researchers, and civil society actors for policy dialogues, storytelling labs, and strategy workshops. Participants reflected on climate impacts in their communities and translated these experiences into policy-relevant messages.
BTS facilitated sessions linking local adaptation realities to global negotiation themes, including loss and damage, resilience financing, and equity.
Participants developed shared advocacy messages and creative outputs to feed into regional and international platforms.
